After 18 days in the NICU/TCU of Comer Children's Hospital, we brought Baby Johnny home this afternoon!
It has been such a (happy) emotional day--more than anything, we couldn't wait to be under one roof finally as a family of four. We were so excited to see how Lola reacted and she did just as we predicted--with happiness and amazement. She was sleeping in the car when John picked us up and didn't wake up until we were just around the corner from home. It went something like this:
"Oh! Baby Johnny! He's so cute. I hold him?"
Yes sweetheart. You hold him. The second we got home, after coats and boots were off and hands were washed, hold him she did. And kiss him and love him and hug him. She's fascinated by him. And is already "Mommy's Little Helper". Her reaction to him stole our hearts and melted them on the spot. We are so looking forward to how the rest of our life unfolds as four. It's safe to say things will never be the same!
Santa's Lil Reindeer...
Kisses from his girls.
Sibling love.
She went right into the bathroom to get her step-stool so she could have a better look.
More lovin'.
My nursing pillow entertained her for a GOOD 15 minutes.
Daddy & his boy.
