Yo Gabba Gabba! Live

We missed Yo Gabba Gabba! Live when it came through Chicago in December and I thought we were going to have to wait until it came back later in the year. So imagine my surprise (ok, sheer excitement!) when I found out on Friday there was a show--with great seats still available--in Milwaukee on Sunday. I quickly conferred with John and we both agreed it was beyond worth the money and 2 hour drive north of the border so our sweet baby girl could see her best friends live and in living color!

NickJr.com helped out with our attire, providing some great Foofa iron-on transfers. We grabbed a few cheap shirts from Wal-Mart and Lola and I had our first Mommy & Me outfit (I was hoping for Lilly Pulitzer shifts, but this will do). We couldn’t leave Daddy out of the fun, so we made him a Plex shirt. I think it's safe to say I'm officially obsessed with iron-on transfers. They were so easy to make and I think they turned out great!

Lola was so in love with the fact she could see Foofa on Mommy's shirt...and hers!
**Look how much darker my hair looks in different lighting. Crazy!**

Road Tripping, Lola-style.

At the suggestion of our good friend Glen Hansard, we stopped at Kopp's for lunch. The burgers were the biggest we ever ate ($3!!!!) and the custard was delish. A MUST if you're ever in the Milwaukee area. Jess--you're going to have to try this place next year while at Marquette!
They were passing out DJ Lance Rock glasses, so John tried on a pair. The funny part is, they really look no different the his Ray Ban spectacles he wears regularly.
Reading Princess Pigtoria & the Pea prior to the performance. Someone forgot to tell the Gabba folks kids shows must start promptly at the stated time.
The concert was “AWWWWWSOME!” in the words of DJ Lance Rock. She sat in my lap pretty much the whole time and had a great view. We got up and danced alot! There was an awesome balloon drop that she loved and they played all our favorite songs--including Lola's favorite: "Head, Arms, Legs, Feet--Beedabeep beep beedabeep, Clap clap."

We all enjoyed the day so much...
