We headed up to the city this afternoon for a visit with Chris, Tracy & Parker that was SO OVERDUE it wasn't even funny! We had been trying to get together forever now, but plans kept falling through for one reason or another. It was worth the wait though, we had a great visit and had so much fun seeing Parker and how much he's changed! He's THIS CLOSE to walking (took a few steps on his own last week) and is as sweet as ever. We can't wait for his FIRST BIRTHDAY party in two weeks! Lola and Parker got along real well which is great because we hope to get together alot more once summer rolls around. We can't wait for trips to the Zoo and picnics on the beach.
On another note, I couldn't help but notice how it felt to be back in the city. We don't go back often, so it's weird to be around the parts of town we used to live in and see the sights we used to everyday--that part of our lives feels like a lifetime ago, when the hope of a Lola was just a glimmer in our eye. We LOVE where our life has taken us and where we are now--but we still carry with us the fond memories of all the fun we had while we were dating & engaged and enjoying all the things the city had to offer two love birds :)
