Sunday, Sunday.

A look at our Sunday...

Mommy and Lola made chocolate covered strawberries. My mom and I used to make frozen chocolate covered bananas all the time when I was a kid, so when I saw these gorgeous strawberries in Walt's the other day, just begging to be covered in chocolate, I had no choice but to oblige.

The kids were then covered in chocolate and needed baths. Before I knew it, we were snuggled up on the rocker, cuddling. Lola feel asleep shortly after. Sweet baby is still not 100% from battling strep earlier this week.

And finally, a frittata baking in the oven for lunch. Lola helped me make this, too. She loves being in the kitchen, cooking and baking. Mom and Ren are always so good about including her and I've tried to as much as possible. Slow down, don't be so rushed and let her be a part of the process.

Our girls can skate!

Today was one of those "best day ever" kind of days. Alissa and I took the girls to Open Skate at Artic Ice Arena while the babies napped (after an awesome workout together this morning--doesn't suck to have a personal trainer as a best friend, let me tell ya!)

Anyhow, the girls proved to us they were naturals and are in need of lessons. Instead of starting them out in group lessons, we're going to try out private and share the half-hour session. I have a feeling what happened to me will happen to them...they'll start in one class and then just keep getting moved up because they're advancing so quickly. Lola is starting three years earlier than I did and I'm so glad. I don't want to push any of what I loved on to her--I want it to be her own decision. But something magic happened to me the first time I laced up and the same thing happened to her today. One of the top 5 days of motherhood in my world. So proud of these girls! They were fearless, fell with grace and got right back up to do it again.

Click HERE to watch the videos...turn down your volume. My voice is SUPER annoying on tape. Always has been! There's also one video where Lola gives me some MAJOR sass because I went back on my word and moved back as she was skating towards me. My bad. I told her I'd stay right where I was but she was doing so good I wanted to give her more room to skate. Kids are SO good at calling you out when you don't stick to what you say. No pulling fast ones on her!
