On Sunday, John + I celebrated 6 years married :) It was a beautiful Fall day, just like it was back in 2006. Fast forward the 6 years since and we have been blessed with two incredible children--and a growing love for one another.
Our vows ring more true with each passing year. You stand on the altar, starry-eyed, not knowing what is ahead. But God has a test for you. Will you live true to the vows you take...in good times AND in bad? We have had incredible times...and those that challenge us. Because that...is life. And marriage. We love our journey and we love that we travel it together.
We had our family pictures done the morning of our anniversary...and this one image sums up SO much. It's hard to know who loves Johnny more...or is most proud of all his accomplishments. Of course Mommy + Daddy celebrate each new thing he does, but his awesome sister Lola is just as proud, encouraging him and recognizing each new skill he masters. "Look Mom, he did it all by himself." or "Mommy, did you hear that? He said ____!" He is an incredible boy. So smart, so determined, so loving. And devastatingly handsome!
